we often talk about addiction as if we all understand what it means—
yet treating it remains notoriously difficult, both for those suffering and for the professionals trying to help.

contraddiction proposes a bold new way to think about addiction in the 21st century, written from the perspective of those who have walked the path of recovery themselves.

Bringing together insights from philosophy, science, therapy, 12-step groups, digital networks, and first-hand experience, it offers a new approach to recovery—one that doesn’t focus on fixing broken individuals, but instead teaches a relational, interactive way of navigating a networked society shaped by constant change and uncertainty.

contraddiction is a book for addicts and those working to help them, focused on building agency, self-esteem, and meaningful connection—fostering the capacity to live creatively and consciously, without becoming trapped in destructive patterns or directionless healing communities.
